1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the buystuff.ai API or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Geeks in the Woods, LLC, an Alaska corporation ("we," "us," or "our").

2. What the Service Is

buystuff.ai is a REST API that enables AI agents and developers to search Amazon products, build shopping carts, and place orders. We act as an intermediary — we purchase products from Amazon on your behalf and ship them to your specified address.

buystuff.ai is not affiliated with Amazon. We use the Rainforest API, an authorized Amazon data provider, to access product information. Product availability, pricing, and shipping are subject to Amazon's terms and may change without notice.

3. How Orders Work

No payment is collected through the API. When an order is placed, we send a payment link to the email address provided. The order is only processed after you complete payment through the payment link. If you do not pay, the order is not fulfilled.

• Pricing — All prices shown are Amazon's current prices plus a 10% service fee calculated on the subtotal and shipping
• Fulfillment — Once payment is received, we purchase from Amazon and ship within 24-48 hours
• Shipping — Orders are shipped to US addresses only
• Price changes — Amazon prices may change between when you view a product and when we purchase it. If the price increases significantly, we will notify you before proceeding

4. Refunds and Returns

• Before fulfillment — If you have not yet paid or we have not yet purchased the item, the order can be cancelled at no cost
• After fulfillment — Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Since we purchase from Amazon, returns are subject to Amazon's return policies
• Damaged or wrong items — Contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you to resolve the issue
• Service fee — The 10% service fee is non-refundable once the order has been purchased from Amazon

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

1. Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to purchase prohibited items
2. Submit false or misleading shipping information
3. Attempt to circumvent the service fee or payment process
4. Abuse the API with excessive requests designed to disrupt the service
5. Scrape, crawl, or harvest product data from our API for purposes other than placing orders
6. Impersonate another person or provide false contact information
7. Resell access to the API without our written permission

6. AI Agent Use

The Service is designed for use by AI agents acting on behalf of human users. If you operate an AI agent that uses buystuff.ai:

• You are responsible for ensuring the agent obtains user consent before placing orders
• The agent should present price breakdowns and get explicit user confirmation before requesting a payment link
• You are responsible for any orders placed by your agent
• We reserve the right to suspend agents that engage in abusive behavior

7. Sessions and Data

The API uses session IDs to maintain cart state across requests. Sessions are automatically created and do not require registration. Each session has one active cart at a time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is collected and used.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by Service downtime.

9. Intellectual Property

The buystuff.ai name, logo, API design, and website content are the property of Geeks in the Woods, LLC. Product information displayed through the API belongs to the respective product manufacturers and Amazon.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Geeks in the Woods, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We do not guarantee the accuracy of product information, pricing, or availability — these come from Amazon and may change at any time.

12. Account Termination

By you: You may stop using the Service at any time. No account deletion is necessary since no accounts are created.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user or agent that violates these Terms, engages in abusive behavior, or uses the Service in a manner that could harm other users or the Service itself.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at [email protected]. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Alaska.
